Studio Alba worked alongside the architectural vision to shape the outdoor environment of this contemporary farmhouse, carefully responding to the home’s strong form, bushland setting and natural slope.
Anchored by a central courtyard, the design enhances the connection between indoor and outdoor living, creating a series of considered spaces that feel both open and protected. The landscape works in harmony with the architecture — framing key views, softening built elements and guiding movement through the site.
The rear of the property centres around a seamless transition from the home to the pool and outdoor entertaining zone, designed to maximise usability while maintaining a refined, cohesive aesthetic. Materiality and layout were carefully resolved to complement the home’s modern farmhouse language, ensuring every element felt intentional and connected.
With environmental conditions and site constraints playing a key role, the design balances performance with experience — delivering a landscape that supports the home’s energy efficiency, bushfire considerations and long-term liveability.
