This Alphington garden was designed as a calm, functional extension of the home, a space that feels considered, timeless and easy to live in.
The brief was to create a cohesive outdoor environment that balanced strong architectural elements with soft, layered planting, while seamlessly integrating the pool into the landscape for the whole family o enjoy. Every detail was carefully planned to ensure the space felt connected, open and relaxed, without compromising on structure or compliance.
A raised pool and curved-edge spa form the centrepiece of the garden, providing a refined focal point while enhancing privacy and flow throughout the space.
Limestone paving and timber decking introduce warmth and texture, grounding the design and complementing the home’s architecture.
Lush planting wraps the garden, with a restrained palette of greens and greys creating year-round interest and a sense of calm. Layered planting was used to soften hard edges, enhance privacy and ensure the garden will continue to mature beautifully over time.
The result is a sophisticated yet welcoming outdoor space designed for everyday enjoyment — a garden that feels generous, considered and effortlessly connected to the home.
